Bookmarks That Tell Your Story: A Creative Celebration for National Book Month

Bring your love for books and creativity to life in this intergenerational workshop celebrating National Book Month! Come join us as families and friends of all ages design and create unique bookmarks that reflect the joy of storytelling and the timeless bond between readers. Using recycled and natural materials, participants will craft two meaningful bookmarks—one to take home and one to submit to our bookmark contest. Community members will vote for their favorite children's bookmark and adult bookmark. At the end of the month, we will choose two winners—one child and one adult—based on who receives the most votes. Each winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Briars and Brambles Books in Windham. With guidance and inspiration, you’ll explore techniques like painting, collage, and stamping to personalize each piece, making it as unique as the stories it will accompany. This workshop bridges generations through the shared love of books. Celebrate the power of stories, creativity, and connection in this hands-on, heartwarming experience! This special program will take place on Saturday, March 8th, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and will be hosted by former WAJ Art Teacher, Stephani Dimopoulos.
