Laurie Zabele Cawley,( she/her), a seasoned dancer and educator with a wealth of experience, brings her passion for movement and wellness to her teachings. With a degree in Dance from Kent State University and over two decades of professional dancing, Laurie has honed her craft alongside renowned artists from acclaimed companies like Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, and Netherlands Dance Theatre. Her journey includes directing dance programs, teaching at various esteemed institutions like Oakland Community College, Oakland University, and contributing as part of Artist in Residency programs across Michigan school districts.

Having served as a visiting teacher with Dimos Intuitive Arts, Laurie seamlessly intertwines her expertise in dance and movement with the ethos of Dimos, fostering a space where individuals engage in intuitive expression through movement. Her diverse teaching style, shaped by years of experience, emphasizes safe and aligned movement, encouraging students to understand their bodies while expressing themselves through dance. Laurie's recent venture, the Loose Change Dance Collective in Saratoga Springs, reflects her commitment to creating innovative spaces that align with Dimos' mission of exploring wellness through intuitive arts. Her workshops in movement for wellness echo the core values of Dimos, advocating for self-expression, alignment, and exploration through the art of dance.
